Light & Sounds – Playing with MIDI and DMX

I’ve been exploring lighting and sound control over the past couple months. I’ve fallen in love with DMX automation and show lighting design. Given my background in Computer Engineering and hardware, and a desire to design show effects and interactive queues in themed entertainment, I thought I would try and make things a little more…interactive. Here’s some fun I had after hooking up my MIDI keyboard to my Art-Net setup in my living room. There’s something incredibly tangible and satisfying in tying the notes of a piano to color. Definitely a lot more of this on the way.
